• Bookings are confirmed upon receipt of the full payment. Once Adventureroutes have agreed to take a booking from a customer, the customer is entering into a contract with Adventureroutes
  • The price or fee for a private booking will be agreed by written communication (normally via email), and any additional terms and conditions for a booking will be made clear in that email.
A minimum of a 25% deposit for the amount agreed is required to secure a booking. This is non-refundable unless otherwise explicitly agreed in writing by Adventureroutes.
The remainder amount will be due 21 days before the first day of the booking, unless otherwise explicitly agreed in writing by Adventureroutes.
  • After booking, you have seven days in which to change to another event or cancel your booking. If you cancel within seven days you will receive a full refund. After the seven days we will not provide a refund. We strongly recommend you take out cancellation and curtailment insurance.
  • Any cancellation must be notified in writing by the person who made the booking. If you cancel your course:
    a) more than 4 weeks prior to the start date, we will offer an alternative date for your course, or a full refund minus 20% of the full cost of the course.
    b) less than 4 weeks before the start date or on or after the commencement of the course, no refund will be payable.
    c) If you have paid a deposit only, this is non-refundable at any stage.
  • In the event that Adventureroutes must cancel an event you will receive a full refund for the event fee. We will not be held responsible to other losses (accommodation, fuel costs, food etc) incurred to the cancellation of the event. Again, for this reason we recommend you take suitable insurance.
  • Adventureroutes reserve the right to vary walks or events from the specification set out in the confirmation; this is most likely to be a weather dependent action.
  • All bookings are made on the basis that customers will observe the safety instructions provided by Adventureroutes staff. To ignore these instructions, you do so at your own risk.
  • You may purchase a place on a course on behalf of someone else, but that person must on the date of the course either be:
    (a) over 18yrs of age
    (b) accompanied by their legal parent or guardian
  • Adventureroutes reserve the right to exclude customers from an event if they are not adequately prepared, not fit enough, or their actions will jeopardize their own safety, or that of others. We also reserve the right to exclude a customer if their attitude is aggressive or offensive.
  • Adventureroutes accept no responsibility for customers’ personal property that may be lost or damaged during the event.
  • Adventureroutes reserves the right to refuse a booking or debar a person from participating in our walks, if in our reasonable opinion their participation is likely to cause distress, annoyance or damage to themselves, other customers, or our walk leaders. This includes participants who fail to advise us of a medical condition or disability which prevents their full participation in the walks, and participants who we believe may be under the influence of alcohol or drugs. It also includes participants who in the opinion of the walk leader are not properly clothed or equipped to enjoy the walk in safety. We are not responsible for any inconvenience or costs incurred as a result.
  • Participation in adventurous activities entails some risk of injury and death. Any employed by the company are trained and appropriately qualified to run courses and will at all times proceed in a manner to limit the risk of injury. However, customers need to accept that accidents and injuries can happen. To participate in the event you will fill out a Medical form before the event.
  • Adventureroutes  will make every reasonable effort to ensure your safety, but you must accept that walking in remote upland terrain and even on low level paths is not without risk to personal safety and the safety of others. We strongly recommend that you have adequate insurance cover for personal accident and personal liability.
  • In the case where the organiser is not participating in the event, it is the organisers responsibility to pass on all information to the participants (kit list, terms and conditions, event information)
  • Provisional bookings will be held for seven days only. After this period Adventureroutes reserve the right to amend any previous quote provided. A provisional booking should not be interpreted as forming a contract between the parties.
  • In most instances, you are responsible for booking your own accommodation, unless it forms part of a quote.
  • All clients/course participants will inform Adventureroutes of any special or notifiable medical condition prior to taking part in the course/event. To see how we manage and store data relating to medical information please see our PRIVACY POLICY.
The client must acknowledge that some of our courses/events take place far from medical help and that rescue and medical treatment will at least be several hours away. Any decisions the client takes in assessing their own health and fitness must take this into account. In some cases we may ask for a further medical declaration to be made – any information gathered here will be held in accordance with our PRIVACY POLICY.
  • We believe that our website is accurate at the present time. We reserve the right to make changes, which will be notified to you.
